In response to customer questions about the display, we posted a video detailing the basic setup of the LCD during installation of the kit. You will need to adjust the settings for the motor type, wheel size, and battery voltage in order to match your specific kit.

To program the display:

  1. Turn the screen on with the red power button
  2. Set the motor type by pressing and holding the "up arrow" and "set button" for 3 seconds
  3. Change the setting to the motor you're using - "3" or "46" for a trike; "4" or "80" for a 500w Geared Performance bike motor; "5" or "84" for a 350w Geared bike motor
  4. Save the setting by pressing and holding the "up arrow" and "set button" again for 3 seconds, without changing the setting.
  5. Set the wheel size by pressing and holding the "up arrow" and "down arrow" for 3 seconds
  6. Change the wheel size to your wheel size. Note that "700c" and "29er" wheels use type "28," not type "700"
  7. Save the setting by pressing and holding the "up arrow" and "down arrow" for 3 seconds again
  8. Set the battery voltage by pressing and holding the "up arrow," "down arrow," and power button for 3 seconds
  9. Select the correct voltage for your battery
  10. Save the setting by pressing and holding the "up arrow," "down arrow", and power button again for 3 seconds
  11. Make sure the settings take effect by turning the power off and back on again.
