Traditional Trike Conversion Kits

E-BikeKit™ Traditional Trike Conversion Systems are designed specifically for compatible conventional upright adult tricycles. These front-wheel systems add smooth electric assist while leaving the tricycle’s existing rear axle, rear wheels, and drivetrain unchanged.

Current SINET™ Trike Conversion Systems

Our latest systems use a 500W geared front hub motor and the E-BikeKit SINET™ platform with smooth sine-wave motor control, a full-color LCD with USB charging port, thumb throttle, locking e-brake levers, and your choice of cadence or torque-sensing pedal assist.

Choose from two system configurations:

48V 15Ah Battery System — A complete conversion system with our current 48V 15Ah lithium-ion battery, integrated SINET™ controller/battery cradle, and 3A charger.

No Battery System — Designed for riders who already have a compatible 48V lithium-ion battery. This version uses an external SINET™ controller and includes the battery connection harness.

Both systems use a front hub motor designed for standard 100 mm conventional front fork dropouts.

Pedal Assist Options for Traditional Trikes

Traditional upright adult tricycles frequently use a one-piece crank. This is important when choosing your pedal-assist system because the SINET™ bottom bracket torque sensor requires a compatible 68 mm square-taper three-piece crank configuration.

For a simpler installation, choose the Cadence Sensor. This external sensor detects crank rotation and does not require converting a compatible one-piece crank system to a three-piece crank.

For riders who want proportional torque-sensing pedal assist, choose the Torque Sensor + Crank Conversion Kit. This option includes the SINET™ 68 mm bottom bracket torque sensor, bottom bracket adapter, three-piece cranks, and pedals needed to convert a compatible one-piece-crank tricycle for installation of the torque sensor.

Torque-sensor installation is more involved and requires removal of the existing crank assembly, installation of the bottom bracket conversion components, and a 3/8-inch cable-routing hole through the bottom bracket shell for the torque-sensor cable and supplied grommet. Customers should be comfortable performing this type of bicycle work or have the system professionally installed.
